Short Bio:
Debbie Woodbury has been helping cancer survivors live their hope and thrive beyond cancer since 2011, when she founded her website, WhereWeGoNow. As a fellow survivor, she understands the struggle and encourages survivors to live their “new normal” to the fullest with inspired healing, wellness and live out loud joy.
Long Bio:
One day, completely out of the blue, Debbie Woodbury went from being oblivious of cancer to the shock of living every moment as a cancer patient. She put her head down, trudged through diagnosis, treatment and finally into recuperation, fully expecting survival to be a celebration.
It wasn’t. Instead, Debbie ran head-first into the emotional fallout of living with cancer. The road back to life before cancer was closed. Welcome to the inescapable, unrecognizable “new normal.”
Slowly and with a lot of support, Debbie discovered her 20 simple secrets to creating inspired healing, wellness and a joyous life after cancer. Inspired to share hope with other survivors, she founded her website, WhereWeGoNow, and authored two books, You Can Thrive After Treatment and How to Build an Amazing Life After Treatment.
Debbie writes about survivorship issues at WhereWeGoNow and is a regular contributor at CURE and Positively Positive, and blogs for The Huffington Post She is an inspirational speaker bringing hope to cancer survivors and the patient experience to medical professionals. Debbie is also a support volunteer with The Cancer Hope Network, a member of the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center Oncology Community Advisory Board, a patient educator with the Pathways Women’s Cancer Teaching Project, a wife and mother, and a former very stressed out lawyer.
